Band & Middle School Band Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative music educator to join our team in a .6 FTE  Middle School Band Teacher position. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with developing musicians and contributing to a comprehensive band program.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will support and help grow our band program across middle and high school levels, with a primary focus on beginning instrumental instruction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group lessons for 6th-grade band students

• Organize and direct the beginning 6th-grade band program

• Lead recruitment efforts for incoming band students at elementary schools in May

• Assist with Middle School concert band rehearsals and performances

• Support the high school band program as needed

Additional Information

• This is a .6 FTE (part-time) position

• Additional stipends may be available at the start of the school year for extra responsibilities

Qualifications

• Background in music education or performance (degree preferred)

• Experience working with middle school students and beginning instrumentalists

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with music staff and school community
